Before you bring olives to the mill — grower checklist

Olive quality after harvest depends on timing, crates and cleanliness. Call or come to the mill; bring clean, well-aired olives — not sweaty plastic bags.

Gölbaşı Karya’s primary service today is crushing for growers: you bring olives, the mill processes the lot, oil returns to you. Harvest season in the Southern Aegean is often cited for October–December; exact intake days are confirmed by phone.

Practical checklist

  • If you can, call before loading the truck.
  • Prefer ventilated crates over closed plastic bags that heat the olives.
  • Keep the interval from harvest to mill as short as practical.
  • Separate ground-picked olives from tree-picked when asked; note cultivar if known.
  • Fees and queue are confirmed by phone — fixed public price lists are not published here.
